Wanna experience something different? Do you love fishes? Well, there's a place you must go to. It's located in Brgy. Igang, Guimaras about 30 minutes ride on a palm boat from Raymen Resort, Alubihod, Guimaras. SEAFDEC is a place where species of different fishes are cultivated for breeding.
There's an entrance fee of P30.00 per person. Well, it will help in the preservation of the reserve.
First stop is the giant grouper or Lapu-Lapu. Looking at it is kinda scary but you'll be amazed at the same time.
So here's a video of the giant grouper while they are being fed by food. Sorry about the voices you'll about to hear. We just got astonished cause they bolted and jumped to catch the feed. Woah!
Floating foot bridges surrounding the fish cages to walk us all over the floating laboratory. Be careful you might be swimming along with fishes.

See that spiky fish over there? It's a lion fish along with the giant grouper. Their spikes has venom that can cause dangerous effects or even death. Be cautious as you pass by this cage.

There you go! Meet the friends of Nemo.
Doing our thing while the Caretaker is having his lecture. Other species like pompano, sea bass and snapper are also present but wasn't able to take pictures because they are covered by nets so they can't bounce and get away.
We're given the chance to feed the milk fish or bangus. It tickles your hand as they get the food on your hand. They don't have teeth that's why they're not harmful.
Before leaving, you can also buy fresh fishes. They also have cottages to stay at and beautiful coastal coves and views to check out.
This is one of the stops from your island hopping when you visit Guimaras and you'll be amazed for more.
