Dinner at Ponsyon by Breakthrough, Plazuela de Iloilo, Philippines
8:57 PM
Iloilo is very famous for fresh sea foods since it is a province near the sea. Most restaurants on the city offers all kind of sea food dishes that you shouldn't miss when you go there. On our first day from arriving in Iloilo City, the Plazuela de Iloilo where Ponsyon and other restaurants and stores are located is very alluring for it's European inspired architecture. Ponsyon by Breakthrough is a family restaurant which offers great dishes of food and good accomodation so far I would say.
Ordering and serving of food may take time because of the many customers coming in and out of the restaurant.
Aligue Rice.
This is the must try in the restaurant. Aligue Rice is composed of rice, leeks and aligue (the yellow orange fat portion of crabs commonly seen on the crab shells). Cautiously to be eaten excessively because it is high in cholesterol.
Shrimp Rebosado.
Grilled "Tangigue" Blue Marlin.
The Tangigue or Blue Marlin is very tasty. I could even eat this even without rice.
Crispy Pata.
Sizzling Pork Sisig.
Sizzling Pork Sisig is always on our food list where ever we eat. They do serve one of the most yummiest Sisig. Always best eaten when its tongue burning hot.
Sweetened Banana.
One of the best sweetened banana ever. See that sugar syrup? It was swept to the last drop. haha.
It has been said that it served the best food in town. Well, it's two thumbs indeed.
